Investigation
Section
During the investigation phase of my CAS project, I discovered that I was interested in both finance and art. I saw the opportunity to combine these hobbies and contribute to a meaningful CAS experience. I looked at a variety of positions that matched my interests, thinking about how I might make a difference. Finally, I resolved to concentrate on making Wells High School Prom 2023 a success. I viewed this as a chance to use my financial and artistic skills to produce a memorable event for the school community.
Preparation
Section
During the preparation phase of my CAS project, I took on many roles and tasks in order to enhance the likelihood of Wells High School Prom 2023's success. I worked on graphic design projects, researched and found prices for decorations, contacted hotels and venues, and managed student budgets. I experienced the value of delegation and worked constructively with the prom organizing committee to efficiently delegate tasks. I created an exhaustive plan with precise tasks, identified essential resources, and produced a calendar with both soft and hard deadlines to ensure a well-organized event. I enhanced my ability to speak professionally and confidently, whether it was seeking pricing and availability from venues or negotiating rates with internet merchants for decorations. These encounters improved my general communication.

Action
Section
During the action stage of my CAS project, I collaborated with the prom planning committee to implement my meticulously planned strategies. Despite our meticulous planning, we found a number of problems that demanded rapid thinking and problem-solving abilities.
One of the greatest challenges we faced was a decoration provider's surprise cancellation due to a scarcity of supplies near the event date. In response, I and the prom organizing comittee quickly took action and began contacting the replacement suppliers we had listed initially that could satisfy our needs within the period we were provided. We were able to identify a reputable alternative and guarantee that the decorations were ready in time for the occasion thanks to great communication and inventiveness.

Furthermore, we heard allegations of cheating in the prom events. To solve this issue, we quickly converted our voting method from QR voting to paper voting, removing any worries regarding the results' legitimacy. This decision contributed to the fairness and integrity of the prom festivities.
During the action stage, these difficulties tested my ability and the prom planning committe's to think critically, adjust to unforeseen events, and make judgments under pressure. We successfully surmounted these challenges through perseverance and teamwork, ensuring that the prom event went smoothly and delivered a great experience for all involved.
Reflection
Section
Through this experience, I learned how to organize events, contact venues and haggle efficiently. During my time working on organizing this event along with my classmates I had learned of many obstacles that people face when making an event outside of school grounds. By reflecting upon this experience I learned that while I liked organizing events within school I do not like planning events outside school and therefore shouldn't choose it as a future career choice. Allowing me to narrow down on what I want to do in the future further.
